What does your organisation do? What is one unique thing people should know about your organisation that is not on your website?
Oxonian Ventures is a unique early stage investment fund providing the opportunity for Oxford Alumni to invest in Oxford founded companies building their ventures in the US. We are creating a virtuous circle for Oxford innovation, providing Alumni a vehicle to give back to the University and Colleges by raising the reputation and visibility of Oxford innovation.
Why did you choose to build in Oxfordshire? What is your connection to Oxford/Oxfordshire?
Our sole focus is Oxford founded companies. All our investors are Oxford Alumni, who are committed to providing investment capital and support to help Oxford founders build their ventures.
What big problem are you trying to solve, and why does it matter?
Historically Oxford founded companies have been under the radar in the US. Oxonian Ventures is filling this gap by providing a US-based Oxonian network to support the building of Oxford founded companies.
How can you support — or be supported by — the Oxfordshire ecosystem?
The GPs and LPs in Oxonian Ventures have extensive experience founding and scaling companies in the US. We are eager to help Oxford founders as they build their ventures to capture the large US market.
