What does LEVRA do? What is one unique thing people should know about your organisation?

LEVRA exists to unlock potential that often goes unnoticed in high-performing environments. We work with people who are technically capable but haven't been taught how to communicate with confidence, navigate pressure, or show up fully in high-stakes moments.

One thing people might not know is that LEVRA was built from real experiences of watching talented individuals lose confidence or opportunity - not because they lacked ability, but because no one had trained them in the human side of work. Our focus is on helping people feel seen, capable, and able to perform at their best when it matters most.

LEVRA in action

Why did you choose to build in Oxfordshire? What is your connection to Oxford/Oxfordshire?

We chose to build in Oxfordshire because LEVRA was born here. My co-founder Emily and I completed our MBAs at Saïd Business School in 2021–22, where LEVRA began as an entrepreneurship project rooted in real workplace challenges we had both experienced.

Oxford gave us the space to think deeply about the future of work, human capability, and responsible innovation - combining academic rigour with a strong entrepreneurial community. Building LEVRA here felt natural: it reflects both our personal journey and the values of evidence-based, human-centred innovation that Oxford represents.

What big problem are you trying to solve, and why does it matter?

The problem we're solving is that as work becomes increasingly driven by AI and advanced technology, human skills are becoming more important than ever - yet they remain largely invisible, unmeasured, and undervalued. Organisations invest heavily in technical capability, but struggle to understand how communication, confidence, decision-making, and leadership actually drive business performance.

LEVRA exists to make human skills measurable, trainable, and commercially relevant - linking them directly to productivity, engagement, and efficiency. In doing so, we help organisations unlock the true potential of future leaders and ensure human capability keeps pace with technological progress.

How can you support — or be supported by — the Oxfordshire ecosystem?

We strongly believe in paying it forward. LEVRA benefited enormously from advice, mentorship, and openness within Oxford when we were starting out, and we want to do the same. We're keen to support MBA students and early-stage founders across Oxford programmes by sharing practical lessons from the critical first few years of building a company.

In return, we value continued connection to the Oxfordshire ecosystem through exposure, talks, events, and collaboration. Access to aligned funders, partners, and networks who believe in long-term, responsible growth would help us scale while keeping our roots firmly in Oxford.
